Definition
- Rapidly growing, vascularised proliferation of granulomatous tissue
- Aetiology: Surgery, trauma, infection or idiopathic
Findings
- Rapidly growing, vascular pedunculated lesion
- Tend to bleed spontaneously or after minor trauma
- Usually not painful, but may irritate
Mangement
- Try topical steroids (e.g. Ultracortenol ointment 4x/d for 1-2 weeks)
- consider Tobradex ointment 4x/d for 1-2 weeks (if bacterial infection possible)
- Excision
